Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Messaging and Branding Specialist will be responsible for developing and flawlessly implementing strategic marketing communications plans for our clients. This person will assist the VP of Marketing in all aspects of press and analyst relations, messaging and positioning, graphics and sales tools production, and branding. The position requires strong marketing-oriented writing skills and the ability to take raw content from our clients and deliver them as compelling messages through the appropriate communications vehicle. The individual will serve a key role that requires leveraging internal and external resources and interfacing with our clients up through their executive management teams. The Messaging and Branding Specialist will prioritize multiple tasks effectively and perform a variety of deadline-driven projects.

Messaging and Branding Specialist Duties

• Develop and lead execution of branding, positioning, and messaging for clients
• Work closely with project managers to effectively plan, launch, and message product capabilities
• Work with direct marketing on outbound campaigns
• Lead Public Relations strategy
• Develop revenue forecasts and marketing expense plans
• Identify and evaluate markets and opportunities for clients
• Conduct customer research, develop customer insights and identify target segments
• Work with outside research and marketing resources as needed
• Assist Account Manager with customer management and communication to clients  

Messaging and Branding Specialist Skills Required

• BA/MBA in Marketing or similar
• Must have 2+ years of recent Brand Management experience
• Good copywriting skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with a variety of clients
• Excellent marketing material development skills with particular emphasis on strategic creative direction and copy creation/review
• Strong leadership and strategic-thinking skills
